Lucy Beecham - Principal I.S.T.D (FDI)(CDE)
Lucy started dancing at a very early age. Her competitive nature led her to realise her love of Disco Dancing where she continued to compete all over the country to become a UK Freestyle Champion. During this period she began to study all aspects of dance and theatre which created opportunities to perform. Upon deciding to pursue a career in dance, she won a place at The London Studio Centre where she gained a 3 Year Performing Arts Diploma. She then went on to work professionally as a dancer, singer and cheerleader, including, a Dance Tour of Italy, becoming a member of the 'Wild Cats' Cheerleaders for the London Leopards Basket Ball Team and UK tours with 'Pure Abba' and 'The British Blues Brothers'.
After working as a freelance dance teacher between jobs, Lucy realised her passion for teaching and went on to study at The Centre in order to gain her Certificate In Dance Education. She then set up Topaz Dance Academy in order to pass on her knowledge and experience and to help to give children the same opportunities to embrace dance, whether it be as a hobby, for fun, for confidence building, to pursue a career in dance or just to make new friends.

His knowledge and experience added a unique mix of creative style and innovation to his classes. He became an important role model for the students, especially the boys, some of which are now following in his footsteps. It was during this time that he found fame after he and dance partner Ashley aka Twist & Pulse finished 2nd in the final of Britain’s Got Talent 2010. They have gone on to perform their brilliant ‘Streetomedy’ routines all over the country appearing on stage and screen alike. They have recently released their first single ‘Jump’ and we all continue to proudly support Glen and Ashley here at Topaz.
